The Human Thirst

Feed the thirst, and save life!

 

How does it sound? Mysterious.But it’s true in a way which most of us are oblivious about.

Today I was thinking, what we poor mortals want in life - Job? Money? Success? Fame? Though we may befool ourselves thinking we want one atleast of these. But if you think deeply, you would recognise that there is a deeper hidden reason behind things like job, money, etc.

They better serve as a necessity, something which we may need, but wanting is different - something beyond the need.

I realised that we all need one single God damned thing and that is Love.  Deny it, but we all want to be loved.

Going deeper, let us understand why problems occur in life, why do people get angry, why do they quarrel, burst out, spread tensions which leave them suffering. Simple, because of lack of love.

Love , which I am referring to doesn’t mean only that romantic kind of love, but any smallest form of appreciation, patience, empathy, friendship or a gentle human touch  for that matter.

Do you know that Human soul is pure and can only understand the language of love? It’s a kind of bond which binds all souls together in the universe. It’s the same invisible string which connects us to God, the spirit. But, the connection is lost the moment this bond ceases to exist.

Today, whatever problems exist, let it be crime – rape, murder, kidnapping, riots, protests, or be it at small level like quarrel, tension, depression, headache, it’s mainly because of the lack of love.

Think about it. If we talk angrily to someone, we get a similar response. Why? Because the moment we turn hostile to someone, or make his fun in public, we are violating his desire of love by giving a wrong stimulus. And when the innocent desire gets violated, the agonized demented soul takes revenge by doing the same to us. Because the desire of love is common in all beings including animals.

The desire should be safeguarded somehow. That bond should be protected if we all want to live in harmony with each other. The problem is we focus on getting love not giving love. But those who give out love to this world, love comes back to them on its own accord. And the world becomes a more beautiful place to live.

The message is we should hear each other with compassion, we should try to help those in need, we should not harass, or shout at anyone. We should be friendly and affable, even with those who are against... Soon their soul would catch the language of love and this is how we can overcome our day to day problems, specially those related to relationships!
